On February 3, 2023, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Uzbekistan, Mr. Jonathan Henick, visited the "SABR" National Center for Socio-Economic Development and had a wonderful meeting with the staff of the center and beneficiaries of the NCSED "SABR" in Samarkand. The US Embassy Small Grants Program has been supporting NGOs for several years with projects aimed at developing the potential of women entrepreneurs, advancing women's rights and gender equality, and providing women with equal opportunities around the world, including in Uzbekistan. Women's empowerment is essential to the economic prosperity of any country.
During the visit, the director of NCSED "SABR" - Mavlyudakhon Shirinova acquainted those present with the activities of the center and "MFO Sabr". To get acquainted with the activities of the Local Development Centers (LDC), an exhibition of folk art products of the craftswomen of the Urgut and Akdarya districts of the Samarkand region was organized.
