On the eve of the spring holiday Navruz on March 14-17, 2025 in Samarkand, Navoi and Namangan regions, a ceremony was held to award certificates and grants to 47 women and young people with disabilities to the authors of the best business plans. The event was held within the framework of the project «Effective Governance for Economic Development in Central Asia».
«Inclusive Horizons: Learning and Entrepreneurship for All» implemented by the “SABR” National Center for Socio-Economic Development in partnership with the National Agency for Social Protection, as well as the NGO “Imkoniyat” in Navoi region Inclusive Horizons: Learning and Entrepreneurship for All” implemented by the SABR NCSED in partnership with the National Agency for Social Protection, as well as the ‘Imkoniyat’ NGO in Navoi Province, and the ‘Women and Girls Entrepreneurship Center’ in Namangan Province, funded by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
Since the beginning of the year, 242 women and young people with disabilities have completed the first phase of 128 hours of vocational skills training and 28 hours of business fundamentals training at the Local Development Centers of the target regions and received grant support to implement their business projects.
