Round table under the project of the European Union

On July 22, 2021 in the city of Andijan the round table under the European Union project "Strengthening institutional and organizational capacity of NGOs to respond to the impact of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable women and youth in rural areas of Uzbekistan and improve their socio-economic situation" was conducted.
The round table was attended by representatives of local authorities, mahalla activists, staff of the RIRC “Сhoyhona” of Buston and Izboskan districts of Andijan province, mentors and students of local development centers, as well as staff of the National Center for Socio-Economic Development "SABR" of Samarkand city. The purpose of this round table was to get acquainted with the project funded by the European Union, the goals and objectives set for the organizations SABR and Tadbirkor Ayol.
The project manager held the presentation for all the participants about the main goal of the project, i.e. accelerated training of girls and women from poor families during 2 months on teaching professional skills in 6 popular directions (sewing, confectionery, hairdressing, manicure and pedicure courses, computer courses and courses on national crafts). The total number of trainees will be 720 in all three RIRC Choihona. Issuance of grants for successful business plans. One of the main objectives of the project is to counsel and help vulnerable populations to reduce the impact of COVID-19 and to combat it. The project also includes free consultations by doctors, psychologists and lawyers through telephone hotlines, as well as face-to-face meetings.  
During the event, the project Chief Legal Advisor spoke to all participants about the rules of granting grants, for which the Temporary Community Coordination Committee was created, the main purpose of which is to review the business plans of those students who have successfully completed the training at the RIRC Choihona and made their business plans to start micro business. Also, the main task of the Temporary Community Coordination Committee is to monitor the grants awarded throughout the project.
