Charlotte Adrian visited the rural information and resource center "Choihona" in Urgut district of Samarkand region, which was opened on April 20, 2021 under the project "Strengthening the institutional and organizational capacity of NGOs to respond to the impact of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable women and youth in rural Uzbekistan and improve their socio-economic situation".

The project is implemented by the National Center for Socio-Economic Development "SABR" together with the Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Association of Business Women of Andijan, Khokimiyats of Izboskan, Buston, Akdarya and Urgut districts.
The aim of the project is to make an active contribution to improve the lives of low-income rural residents, mostly women and young people, who have been most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a cozy, home-like atmosphere, the Ambassador was able to meet with women beneficiaries of the project and discuss project implementation with the head of the SABR Center, Mavlyuda Shirinova, who spoke in detail about the center's activities since its opening and achievements.
