«Social Innovations for Supporting Socially-Oriented NGOs and Vulnerable Groups of the Population», funded by the DVV International Branch in Uzbekistan

Project Goal:

To promote the experimental model of social services through non-formal education and support the employment of women and youth from low-income rural families. Develop partnerships with government authorities and establish connections with NGOs and Tajikistan Adult Education Centres (TAEC) from neighboring countries (such as Tajikistan) dealing with adult education.

Project Tasks:

1. Strengthening the capacity of members of the informal network of socially-oriented NGOs/Local Development Centers through internships and experience exchanges with NGOs and TAECs from the Republic of Tajikistan involved in adult education.

2. Conducting a mini-study on the results of the activities of the LDCs (Local Development Centers) and the RIRCs (Rural Information and Resource Centers) in order to assess the impact of the SABR programs on the target group.

3. Conducting a round table on the activities of the LDCs and the RIRCs for socially oriented partner organizations for interested parties – representatives of government agencies, business structures, and the media.

4. Organizing a PR event in Samarkand in collaboration with universities and local authorities to promote the global «Learning Cities» model.
